The Weekend Major is a golf trip organizer app for annual buddy trips: one place for the roster and handicaps, the teams, the rounds and tee times, hole-by-hole scoring, a live leaderboard and the side games you argue about at dinner.
One golf trip app instead of five spreadsheets
Most annual trips are run out of a shared spreadsheet, a group chat and one organizer's notes app. Tee times live in an email, handicaps live in someone's head, the team draw gets redone on the drive up, and the skins math happens at the bar with a phone calculator. The Weekend Major replaces that with one trip everybody can open.
Trip creation and schedule
Name the trip, set the dates and destination, then add each round with its course, date and tee time. Everything stays editable while plans move around.
Golfer roster and handicaps
Add every golfer with a trip handicap. The balanced team generator can build even pairings from those handicaps, or you can set the teams by hand.
Formats you actually play
Pick a format template or configure it yourself: net or gross stroke play, Stableford, match play and team aggregate — set per round and per nine.
Scoring and leaderboard
Organizers enter scores hole by hole or through the fast entry grid, and the Individual Cup and Team Cup leaderboards update for the whole group.
Side games and settle-up
Track skins, closest to the pin, long drive, custom bets and the Par 3 Carryover pot, then read the ledger for who owes who at the end.
One code to share
Every trip gets a six-character code and a share link. Send it to the group chat once and everyone has the leaderboard on their phone.

Name, dates, destination and an organizer PIN. You get a six-character trip code straight away.

Send the code to the group. Scores go in during or after each round and the leaderboard follows the whole trip.

- What does the golf trip app actually do?
- It holds your whole trip in one place: the golfer roster and handicaps, the teams, each round and tee time, the scoring format, hole-by-hole scores, the running leaderboard, side games and the settle-up ledger.
- Do players need to download anything?
- No. The Weekend Major runs in a phone browser. Players open the trip link or enter the six-character trip code — there is no account to create and no app store download.
- Can one organizer control the trip?
- Yes. The organizer sets a PIN when creating the trip. Organizer mode unlocks editing golfers, teams, rounds, formats, scores and side games; everyone else sees a read-only view.
- Does it work for a multi-day trip?
- Yes. A trip can have as many rounds as you want across as many days as you want, and the standings run across the entire trip rather than resetting each round.
