TWMThe Weekend Major

Golf trip scoring app

Multi-round golf trip scoring with a live leaderboard.

A golf trip scoring app for groups of friends: hole-by-hole entry, net and gross, Stableford and match play, front and back nine segments, an Individual Cup and a Team Cup that run the length of the trip, plus skins and side games.

What the scoring engine covers

Hole-by-hole scoring built for phones

Enter a single player's card hole by hole, or use the fast entry grid to run the whole group's scores for a hole in one pass. Big targets, numeric keypads, no pinching.

Front nine and back nine as separate competitions

Split any round into two nine-hole segments, each with its own format. A rough front nine does not end anyone's trip, and every nine is worth playing out.

Net, gross and Stableford

Score net or gross stroke play, or points-based Stableford. Strokes are applied by hole stroke index using the trip handicap or a per-round playing handicap.

Individual Cup and Team Cup

Segment results award points down a placing tier, with an optional multiplier for the championship final round, so the trip has one running individual race and one team race.

Championship pairings

Seed the final day's groups from the standings so the players still in contention play together on the last round.

Skins and the Par 3 Carryover

Run skins alongside the main competition, and let the Par 3 Carryover pot roll to the next par 3 until somebody finally hits a green in regulation.

A trip-long tournament, not four unrelated rounds

Most trips score each round on its own and forget it by dinner. The Weekend Major treats the trip as one championship: every nine-hole segment awards points, the Individual Cup and Team Cup carry from the first tee shot to the last, and the final round can be weighted so the trip is genuinely decided on the last day.

Handicaps, honestly described

You set a trip handicap per golfer and can override the playing handicap for any round — useful for different tees or a course that beats everyone up. Strokes are applied by hole stroke index. The app does not calculate, verify or sync official World Handicap System indexes, and it is not a substitute for your national golf association's handicap record.

Questions

Golf trip scoring questions

What scoring formats are supported?
Net and gross stroke play, Stableford, match play and team aggregate. Each round can use a format, and the front nine and back nine can each be scored as their own competition.
How are handicaps handled?
You enter a trip handicap for each golfer and can override a playing handicap per round. Strokes are allocated by hole stroke index. This is a trip-scoring tool — it does not calculate or sync official World Handicap System indexes.
Can we run a Ryder Cup-style trip?
Yes. Build two or more teams, set match play or team aggregate on the rounds or individual nines, and the Team Cup standings track the result across the whole trip.
How do skins and the Par 3 Carryover work?
Skins can be tracked alongside the round, and Par 3 Carryover rolls the pot forward to the next par 3 whenever nobody hits the green in regulation. The money page shows the running pot and a settle-up ledger.
Does the leaderboard update live for everyone?
Everyone with the trip code sees the same leaderboard, and it refreshes as scores are entered. Scores are entered by the organizer rather than pulled from any course system.
