Terms of use

The Weekend Major is a scoring and coordination tool for private golf trips. It helps a group set up rounds, keep score, run side competitions and see who owes who. It is for entertainment and organisation among people who already know each other.

These terms are written plainly by the team building the product. They are not lawyer-reviewed.

The product is free during beta. Features may change, move or be removed, and we do not promise any level of uptime, backup or data durability. Don't rely on it as the only record of anything that matters.

We may introduce paid plans later. If we do, we'll be clear about it before charging anyone anything.

Every score, handicap, team, points setting and side game in the app is entered and controlled by your group. We do not verify any of it.

The settle-up ledger is a convenience calculation based on what your group entered. Any money arrangements are strictly between the people on the trip. We do not process payments, hold funds, or take part in any wager.

The app is not a gambling service and must not be used to run one.

Your organizer PIN protects trip settings, the roster, rounds and finalisation. Keep it private. Anyone with your trip code can view the trip, so share it only with your group.

We cannot recover a PIN for you. Save the recovery key shown when you create a trip.

You keep whatever you upload — names, photos, notes. You give us permission to store and display it so the app can work for your group. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, and don't upload anything unlawful or abusive.

Don't attempt to access trips you weren't given a code for, probe or interfere with the service, scrape it, or use it to harass anyone. We may suspend or remove trips that break these rules.

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, disputed scores, or any money changing hands between members of your group.
